The Orthodontic National Group for dental nurses & therapist run two dental nurse competition annually.

The Orthodontic Dental Nurse Award and the Orthodontic Dental Nurse Prize.

3M Unitek Orthodontic Nursing Award

This is an event which has each year been sponsored by 3M Unitek for the Orthodontic National Group.

The award is open to any qualified dental nurse who wishes to submit a synopsis. These are judged according to a set criteria and the selected top five finalists enter the final, which has always taken place during the dental nurses day at the annual British Orthodontic Conference. Each finalist is asked to make their presentation lasting for ten minutes to the delegates at the study day. The presentations are then judged by a panel of three.
